I am SICK TO DEATH of these asshole Asian spammers leaving "comments" to my blogs in an unidentifiable (because I am unfamiliar with the alphabets) Asian language--Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese--something...and every damn one links to a site that is half-finished in the same language (I presume) and is probably littered with spyware and virii. Seriously, what the Hell is the point??
Ugh. I hate bots and the people who create them. They should all be strung up by their toenails.
Anyone else have this shit go on, on their blogs? Happens on all three of mine and I'm about sick of having to constantly monitor comments to make sure someone's not trying to redirect my readers to spy/ad/malware sites.
Yep. 'Course, if someone is posting a comment to my English-language posts in a language that isn't English, I just delete. Seems a reasonable guess that it isn't exactly contributing to the thought.
ReplyDeleteI generally delete instantly as well--it's just a pain in the arse to have to watch for it all the time.
ReplyDeleteAbout once a month and never on a post from the current month.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking as one of your readers (as opposed to a blog owner), I wouldn't be silly enough to follow a link on that sort of comment.
ReplyDeleteAnd as a blog owner (self-hosted wordpress) I find that nothing like that ever makes it past akismet. Is there nothing similar for blogspot?
I'll check into it.
ReplyDeleteHm. My blog is supposedly set up to use a catcha.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable. I got one of those spam posts on this very blog. Assholes.
